Dr. Laura West

PT, DPT

Dr. Laura West has spent the last 15 years becoming a true movement expert. What started as a desire to find a restorative activity to compliment her love for running, lead her to becoming a certified yoga instructor, obtaining a Bachelors degree in Clinical Exercise Science from the University of Texas in Arlington, and obtaining her doctorate in physical therapy from South College in Knoxville, tn. After working as a physical therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings, treating an array of orthopedic and neurological conditions, she decided to start Journey Well Physical Therapy in order to deliver more high-quality care to all of her patients.

Laura is also a wife and mother of 2 young girls. She is an experienced marathon runner and credits her orthopedic health to the regular practice of ashtanga inspired yoga as well as yin yoga. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and has a passion for working with neurodivergent communities, as her brothers and her oldest daughter are autistic..
